Contributor terms

Terms offered to writers, photographers and illustrators. Express agreement and an individual written assignment are required; browsing or an unsolicited proposal creates no license or payment agreement.

1. Proposal and commissioning

Send proposals through the contact page or editorial@jluxu.com. Receipt guarantees neither commissioning nor publication. A written assignment must identify Alvau LLC and the contributor, work, scope, delivery, acceptance, credit, fee or expressly agreed unpaid status, payment method/date, and accepted terms version. Mandatory freelance-contract and timely-payment rules prevail where applicable.

2. Rights and disclosures

Identify prior publications, third-party material, collaborators, AI use and commercial interests; demonstrate necessary rights and appropriate likeness permissions. Protect confidentiality, privacy and reputation. Do not invent quotations, interviews, experiences, testimonials or tests. Attribution does not replace permission. See Copyright, images and media and AI and synthetic content policy.

3. Ownership and license

Unless a specifically accepted assignment lawfully provides otherwise, the contributor retains ownership and, on express agreement, grants a worldwide, non-exclusive five-year license from first publication to publish the agreed work on ALVAU MAGAZINE, make necessary editorial/accessibility changes, translate, archive during that term and promote that publication in agreed channels. Technical providers may process only for those uses. Sale, unrelated advertising, AI training and general sublicensing are excluded. Transfers, exclusivity and work made for hire require separate legally effective arrangements.

4. Editing and ending use

Routine editing preserves meaning and agreed credit. Significant changes require approval unless specifically authorized; translations preserve qualifications. The publisher may decline/delay, request evidence, correct or withdraw according to Editorial standards and corrections. Contributors must reasonably assist corrections. Either party can end future use by 30 days’ written notice; remove ALVAU MAGAZINE-controlled public copies by its end, except under a separate lawful archive license. At expiry public reuse stops without a new agreement. Restricted evidentiary/legal records require a basis; independent third-party copies cannot be guaranteed removed.

5. Payment and responsibility

The assignment determines compensation and timing; no default rate, automatic unpaid contribution or success fee is created. A specifically agreed assignment may modify these commercial terms, subject to mandatory law and third-party rights. Duties and liability are proportionate to each party’s conduct; a contributor does not assume the publisher’s own wrongdoing. No arbitration or exclusive court is imposed. Alvau LLC must keep the accepted version and agreement evidence.
